Caractérisation de l'activité de glucurono-conjugaison des enzymes UDP-glucuronosyltransférases de souris (Ugt2b) envers des substrats endogènes (androgènes) et exogènes (bisphénol A)

Abstract: Mice are frequently used as a model in studies of metabolism and molecules toxicities. Therefore, we wanted to identify the tissues and enzymes involved in the glucuronidation process in this animal. The liver and kidney in the case of males and liver only in females were the tissues with the highest conjugation activity for androgens and the liver, gallblader and intestinal tissues for BPA. Ugt2b1 and 2b5 were the principal enzymes responsible for the conjugation of androgens, whereas Ugt2b1 and 2b34 were involved in the conjugation of BPA. The transposition of glucuronidation mecanisms from mice to human will be discussed in the light of these results throughout the text.
