Optimisation de la formulation d'un régime à teneur réduite en phosphore chez la truite arc-en-ciel (Oncorhynchus mykiss) dans le but de réduire les rejets en phosphore

|Abstract:||This experiment aims at identifying a nutritional strategy to reduce phosphorus loading of aquaculture effluent to allow fish farmers to meet the target issue by the Stratégie de développement durable de l’aquaculture en eau douce au Québec (STRADDAQ) 4.2 kg of phosphorus per ton of fish produced. This work optimizes the formulation of a phosphorus-reduced diet that is practical and inexpensive. In addition, the two diets identified by this experiment, diet 3 (0.30 % available phosphorus) and 5 (0.29 % available phosphorus) has permitted raising rainbow trout without affecting their growth performance or their health. In fact, fish fed with diets 3 and 5 have resulted in lowest conversion (1.35 and 1.32 respectively) versus the control diet used in this experiment (1.40). In addition, feeding these diets significantly reduced the phosphorus concentration of the effluents obtained in this experiment. Fish subject to diet 3 released a total (soluble and solid) 3.98 g of phosphorus per kg of fish and fish subject to diet 5 released a total of 4.93 g of phosphorus per kg of fish. Rainbow trout subjected to commercial diet released 11.7 g of phosphorus per kg of fish. This represents a reduction in phosphorus discharges into the environment of around 60%. This reduction in phosphorus discharges allows diet 3 to meet the objective proposed by the STRADDAQ and diet 5 to be closer to it.|
