Mesure des constantes élastiques du bois d'épinette noire (Picea mariana (Mill.) B.S.P.) dans des conditions d'équilibre du séchage à basse température

|Abstract:||The objective of this research was to study the influence of the equilibrium moisture content (EMC) and temperature on the mechanical properties of black spruce wood (Picea mariana (Mill.) B.S.P.). The six specimen technique was used to determine the elastic parameters under eight hygrothermal conditions: four EMC (7%, 13%, 17% and above the fiber saturation point) at two temperatures (30°C and 50°C). Measurements were made in axial compression tests. Axial strain was measured using a Sangamo DG1.0 linear displacement sensor (LVDT). Transverse strain was measured using two semi-ring extensometers. The results show than wood deformability increases as EMC and temperature increase. Furthermore, at the given EMC, wood deformability increases as temperature increases from 30°C to 50°C.|
