Reporting sur le Web : contenus des sites et optimisation de leur gestion
Authors: | Héroux, Sylvie; Henri, Jean-François |
Abstract: | The strategic challenge which firms face with respect to reporting on the Web goes beyond the communication of financial information. Despite the opportunities in respect to the communication of information on the Web, we know little about the practices specifically put in place by organizations to manage this content. Based on a survey of managers in charge of web site and the analysis of web sites, we examine the managerial practices specifically implemented to manage web site content and we explore the relationship between those practices and different types of content. The results suggest that the five managerial practices under study (i.e., top management support, decentralization, standardization, strategic planning and monitoring) do not contribute to the same extent to the various types of website content. The managers are encouraged to identify the most relevant practice in order to optimize the management of specific content |
