Internalizing environmental management practices in Africa : the role of power distance and orality
This paper investigates the role of power distance and orality in the internalization of ISO 14001
in Africa. The data was collected from 35 semi-structured interviews with a set of relevant
stakeholders: managers, employees, environmental coordinators/directors, consultants, and
